Bandits On The Run
Bandits on the Run is the musical trio of Adrian Blake Enscoe, Sydney Shepherd, and
Regina Strayhorn, comprised of 3 lead singer/songwriters, guitar, cello, suitcase drum,
accordion, and various toy instruments. Formed upon a chance encounter while busking in
the subways of New York City, the Brooklyn based outfit has gone on to receive accolades
from NPR Music’s All Songs Considered, American Songwriter, Rolling Stone, Paste, NPR
Weekend Edition, and the Johnny Mercer Songwriters Project. In addition to several
albums and EPs, the Bandits have composed music for the Netflix children’s animated
series “Storybots”, scored the movie The Same Storm, written and produced a short
musical film “Band At The End Of The World” commissioned by Prospect Musicals,
composed music for Shakespeare's As You Like it at Carnegie Mellon University, and
toured the globe with appearances at the Cambridge Folk Festival, Floydfest, Milwaukee
Summerfest, Americanafest, the F1 Singapore Grand Prix, Rocky Mountain Folks Fest,
and many others.
Currently the Bandits are working on the stage musical adaptation of What's Eating Gilbert
Grape in association with MCC Theater, alongside actor-musician Christopher Sears
and Academy Award Nominee Peter Hedges, who wrote the original book and screenplay.
This year Bandits on the Run have been enjoying tours with Tony Award Winner John
Gallagher Jr, who Enscoe will be starring alongside in the musical Swept Away, featuring
the music of The Avett Brothers, on Broadway this fall!
